SUMMARY OF THE STREAM

After School Society is a podcast where the members talk about school experiences, such as classroom memories and academic struggles that our viewers can relate to. The first episode of the podcast, ASSode 001; ASSademic Burnout, was premiered last March 14, 2022, on YouTube at 5:00 PM. The stream started with Host Nykie and Host Sherise introducing the podcast to the listeners and viewers, before handing the

mic over to Emcee Agatha and Emcee Hermione, who would lead the main discussion. During the main discussion of academic burnout, the emcees discussed what it is and the possible causes of academic burnout. The emcees explained what academic burnout is and what causes it throughout the main discussion of academic burnout. The emcees presented their personal coping mechanisms for dealing with academic burnout, and the audience was encouraged to share theirs as well. The emcees wrapped up the main discussion by offering advice and encouraged viewers to take a break and relax every once in a while, as well as not to be afraid to seek help when they can no longer handle the burden. The hosts and emcees concluded the stream by repeating the episode's lesson and thanking the viewers. Following that, the emcees reminded the audience to complete the feedback form and promoted the social media accounts of After School Society.

STRENGTH OF THE STREAM

Our podcast had engaging and authentic topics that made the viewers invested; such as, what is the best coping mechanism as a student, and many of us having a hard time with online classes. The stream gives many recommendations on how to cope with stress. Besides, our stream creates relationships with the audience, having an interactive audience makes the stream more

vivid. In fact, on our Feedback Survey 16/16 met their expectations, and 11/16 would recommend our podcast to a friend. Also, the stream was efficient and convenient since it can be replayed and it’s downloadable.

AREAS OF OPPORTUNITY IN OUR STREAM

Our team has skimmed all the answers in our Feedback Forms and there is still much room for our opportunities. Starting off with our connectivity to WiFi, we know that connection here in our area is really not the best, also knowing that our family members are also using the WiFi since they have work to do. In this case, we will make sure that the next episode of our podcast will deliver a smooth internet connection. Second, the energy we have while delivering the conversation, we thought that it will be overstatement that we have to delivery our message in a high energy since our topic discussed is about what we are experiencing while having the new set-up but we will acknowledge this and we will do our very best that to keep up with our energy. Third opportunity is that to have our episode longer, in this area we brainstormed that it should be quarter an hour since this is our first episode to publish but we have to make sure that it is still connected to our topic discussed on the podcast. For the last area of opportunity, make sure to thoroughly talk about all the points so that the viewers will get a grasp on it. This area will be on our top list so that we will have time to allocate the time to discuss the topic we will do on the future episode and to have the viewers engaged along with it, we speakers will also do the best to converse longer the chat between our topic and us. All in all, After School Society will surely apply these opportunities on the future episodes of our podcast.

ANALYSIS OF THE ENGAGEMENT OF OUR VIEWERS

The majority of our listeners learned about our podcast from their friends. Our podcast had an average degree of viewer involvement, which is good, especially given the fact that it is only our first episode. Many of our listeners have enjoyed our podcast, particularly the way we interact with and speak to our listeners. Many people have communicated with us via the chats, commenting on how they're feeling, answering our questions, and generally just expressing their ideas.  And I believe that our viewers' level of interaction had a favorable impact on the stream's overall performance. The listener should be able to relate to what the speakers are talking about, which is one of the purposes of the podcast After School Society. As a result of the audience's participation and feedback, we were able to confirm that they appreciated and related to our podcast.

ANALYSIS OF THE VIEWERSHIP OF OUR STREAM

Our first episode, ASSode 001; ASSademic Burnout received 92 views as of March 18, 2022, 4 days after the release, and is still currently growing. It is exhilarating to receive such huge views for the first episode of our podcast.  With the help of YouTube Premiere, it lets us and our viewers watch and experience the podcast together in real-time. While waiting for the premiere there were 9 viewers which increased to 12, two minutes before the actual stream. The view count decreased to 8 during the countdown yet increased to 16 for the introduction. 20 viewers stayed and watched the main discussion. During the first break, our views decreased to 18 and decreased to 16 as the second discussion started. For the second break, only 14 viewers stayed but increased again to 16 viewers for the third discussion. In the end, we finished our podcast with 20 viewers. The podcast’s lowest view is at 8 views, which was during the two minute countdown. The podcast’s highest view was at the Introduction and Ending part where we all talked. The average view of our podcast is 14 views. We have observed that viewers exit our podcast due to excessive waiting—the countdown and short breaks; causing them to be bored waiting for the discussion. Viewers stayed for the parts where we all spoke, our discussions and interactions. For future episodes, we will prolong the group conversations and socialization with the audiences to make up for the shortened breaks and countdown.
